I see Marty explores the relationships within a small family, the way that lessons learned in the adult life are interpreted for children and the way children perceive them. Stylistic overtones of dancing and nursery rhymes convey a sense of continuing innocence in the case of the children and also a protective sense of innocence lost in the case of their mother.
Awarded with an HONORARIUM from the Canada Council for the Arts, Hamilton and Regional Arts Council and Hamilton Artist Inc.
"The Film, I see marty, takes us on a metaphorical journey of discovery and self-disclosure. Concerns of socialization, perception and personal narrative resonate through this work creating evocative visual reminiscences and reflections." Steve Loft from Hamilton Artists Inc.
