House of Fireflies
“House of Fireflies” is a modern day fairy tale placed in a small town far from everything. Set in a time of depression, a time of renewal… As a prequel to the short film “A Good Meal”, we now get to witness the youth of Carl’s mother Violet as she grows and learns the power of love and voodoo.
Similar to the short, “House of Fireflies” is a quirky story juxtaposed with dark comedic elements, poetic dialogue and surreal visuals which help to create the world in which young Violet lives and grows. A morality tale told through the perspective of her confused youth while trying to make her own magic.
